Choosing a hairstyle that flatters your face shape is key to looking your best. With so many different hairstyles to choose from, it can be overwhelming to know which one will suit you best. But do not despair, we've got you covered! In this article, we'll show you how to choose a hairstyle that flatters your face shape with four key points to keep in mind.

                           Determine Your Face Shape
The first step in choosing a hairstyle that best flatters your face is to determine your face shape. This can be done by measuring your face with a tape measure or ruler, or simply by looking in the mirror and examining the proportions of your face. The four main face shapes are round, square, oval, and heart-shaped.

  • Round: If your face is round, it is as wide as it is long, with a soft curve at the jawline and cheekbones.
  • Square: If your face is square, it has a strong, angular jawline and forehead.
  • Oval: If your face is oval, it is longer than it is wide, with a gently curved jawline and forehead.
  • Heart-shaped: If your face is heart-shaped, it has a wider forehead and cheekbones with a narrow chin.
Once you have determined which shape best represents your face,  a great way to get inspiration for a new hairstyle is to look at celebrities with similar face shapes. This can give you an idea of what works and what doesn't for your face shape. For example, if you have a heart-shaped face, you might look at celebrities like Reese Witherspoon or Halle Berry for inspiration.

Consider Your Hair Type & Texture
When choosing a hairstyle that flatters your face shape, it's important to also consider your hair type. Do you have really flat, straight hair? Or is your hair full, thick and curly? As  much as we may love the idea of the opposite of what we naturally have, we need to focus our inspiration on hair textures that are similar to our own, otherwise the time and effort needed to style your hair may be more than your willing to invest. And lets be real... Who wants hair that takes hours to style?

                               Consider Your Lifestyle
When choosing a new hairstyle, it's important to consider your lifestyle. If you have a busy schedule and don't have much time to style your hair, you may want to choose a low-maintenance style. If you're someone who loves to experiment with different looks, you may want to choose a more versatile style that you can play around with.

                         Pay Attention to Facial Features
Another important factor to consider when choosing a hairstyle that flatters your face shape is your facial features. If you have a prominent nose, for example, you may want to choose a style that draws attention away from your nose and towards your eyes. If you have high cheekbones, you may want to choose a style that accentuates them.

                             Consider Your Personal Style
Finally, when choosing a new hairstyle, it's important to consider your personal style. Do you prefer a classic, sophisticated look, or do you like to be more edgy and daring? Your personal style can play a big role in determining which hairstyle will make you feel the most confident and comfortable.

By keeping these points in mind, you'll have even more guidance on how to choose a hairstyle that flatters your face shape and suits your personal preferences and lifestyle.

Wear a sweater or jacket with a half- or full-zip with standup collar. This will keep you warmer. Look for underarm zippers known as “pit vents” to allow sweat to escape properly.

Soft shells are form-fitting yet stretchier for comfort. They come in wind-resistant and windproof varieties.

I like to determine hairstyle based on the face shape.

Like this:
Oval Face Shape: This face shape is considered to be the most versatile and can pull off most hairstyles. You can try a variety of hairstyles such as long layers, a blunt bob, or a pixie cut.

Round Face Shape: A round face typically has a width and length that are almost equal. To elongate the face, you can try a long layered cut with side-swept bangs. Avoid blunt cuts or hairstyles that add volume to the sides of the face.

Square Face Shape: This face shape has a strong jawline and a square-shaped hairline. Soften the angles by trying a layered cut with face-framing layers, or a long wavy hairstyle. Avoid straight and blunt cuts that accentuate the square shape.

Heart Face Shape: This face shape has a wide forehead and a narrow chin. To balance the face, try a layered bob or a long hairstyle with face-framing layers. Avoid short hairstyles that emphasize the forehead.

Diamond Face Shape: This face shape has wide cheekbones and a narrow forehead and jawline. Try a chin-length bob or a layered cut with volume at the crown to balance the face. Avoid hairstyles that add volume to the sides of the face.
